With over 40 years of experience in the real estate appraisal industry, Mark Machel, P.App, AACI, brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge and expertise to our firm. A licensed real estate broker since 1987 and a designated AACI appraiser since 1993, Mark has been a trusted professional in property valuation, serving clients across residential, commercial, and investment sectors.
Mark’s extensive career includes 13 years as a real estate appraiser with Dubrick Real Estate Limited, followed by decades of independent practice. In 1995, he founded Machel & Associates Ltd., establishing a reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable appraisal services.
As an Associate Broker with Coldwell Banker Peter Benninger Realty, Mark has maintained a strong presence in the real estate market while continuously refining his valuation expertise.
His contributions to the profession extend beyond appraisal work. As a past Education Chairman for the Waterloo-Wellington Chapter of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Mark has played a key role in mentoring and educating the next generation of appraisers. He has also been a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada and the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board for over 43 years, demonstrating his longstanding commitment to industry standards and professional excellence.

Brian began his professional real estate career in 2021, quickly demonstrating his aptitude across a range of appraisal services, including residential, commercial, and vacant land valuations. His hard work and dedication culminated in achieving his P.App, AACI designation in September 2024, further solidifying his expertise within the appraisal field.
Prior to venturing into real estate, Brian spent 17 successful years as an entrepreneur, honing a diverse set of transferrable skills—from financial management and strategic planning to client relations and market analysis—all of which have seamlessly translated into his work in real estate.
Brian is known for integrating data science and advanced statistical analysis into his appraisal practice, enabling him to deliver reports with leading-edge credibility and precision. His evidence-based approach ensures valuations are not only compliant but defensible and insightful, aligning with the highest standards in the industry.
In addition to his appraisal credentials, Brian is also a licensed Realtor, offering a comprehensive approach to property valuation and real estate transactions. His entrepreneurial background, coupled with his growing expertise in data-driven valuation, allows him to provide his clients with insightful, well-rounded advice tailored to their needs.
Len Ringwald is a Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA) with over 30 years of experience in the appraisal industry. Based in Kitchener, Ontario, Len specializes in valuing residential, commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties across Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and surrounding areas.
Len began his career as an accountant and computer manager, overseeing financial operations and computer systems conversions for Dubrick Real Estate Ltd. He transitioned to residential appraisal with Dubrick Appraisals Ltd. before joining M. Machel & Associates Ltd. in 1995, where he continues to provide detailed, data-driven valuation services.
He holds a diploma in Business Administration Accounting from Conestoga College and has completed extensive coursework through the Appraisal Institute of Canada and Wilfrid Laurier University, earning his CRA designation in 1990. Len maintains his certification through ongoing re-certification programs.
Outside of work, Len is a passionate musician, performing as manager and keyboardist/vocalist in a 9-piece Classic Rock/Funk/Soul band. He also enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with his family.
Terry Macklin is a highly experienced fee appraiser with over 50 years in the real estate valuation industry. As part of the team at M. Machel & Associates Ltd., Terry provides appraisal and consulting services across residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial, and land valuations.
Terry began his career in 1968 and has since built an extensive portfolio, including roles with W. E. Macklin, Dubrick Real Estate Ltd., City Management & Appraisals, and Waterloo Regional Appraisals Ltd. before joining M. Machel & Associates in 2015. From 1969 to 1998, he was also a licensed real estate salesperson, bringing a practical market perspective to his appraisal work.
A graduate of Mohawk College with a diploma in Business Administration, Terry was inducted into the Mohawk College Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in basketball and golf. He earned his AACI designation in 1974 and is qualified as an expert witness. His leadership within the profession includes serving twice as Chairman of the Waterloo Wellington Chapter of the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
