Len graduated from Conestoga College in 1983 with a Business Administration-Accounting Diploma. From 1984 to 1988 he was employed with Dubrick Property Management in charge of book keeping, payroll, financial statements and budgeting of the multi-family and commercial properties. He was also responsible for the implementation of a new property management computer system, updating the antiquated software for the 1,100 units managed to a new PC based system.
In 1998, Len became a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. From 1988 to 1995 Len worked as a staff appraiser with Dubrick Appraisals, doing valuations on single family, duplex and triplex properties. Various courses were taken towards his Appraisal Designation with the Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA) designation granted in June 1990.
In 1995, Len joined M. Machel & Associates Ltd. doing valuations on residential properties as well as commercial, industrial, land and multi family properties. During this time courses and seminars have been taken in accordance with the mandatory re-certification program under the Appraisal Institute of Canada guidelines.
In his spare time Len enjoys playing sax and keyboard in a part-time classic rock band, music, cooking, travelling and his family.
